Introductions

Welcome to the blog: Loving Venus-Loving Mars.

More than a year and a half ago, I started reading romance novels for the first time. It just happened by accident, because until that point, I had no interest in reading romance in any way shape or form. But I fell in love with it very quickly. Also at warp speed, I took the leap from romance to erotic romance to erotica, and read it all now. Yeah, I love to read sex, all kinds of sex, especially loving sex.

One day, to my shock and surprise, I found that I really enjoyed reading girl on girl sex. To be honest, for most of my life, although I’m very open sexually, I’ve never really fantasized about or been sexually attracted to women. I have experimented a little and it fizzled as I couldn’t really get into it. So it’s rather interesting to me that at this point in my life, I would find thinking about a woman sexually, a turn on.

I still don’t know that I could take the leap from fantasy to reality if the situation presented itself, but the fact is, I like to read about women having loving sexual relationships, and I’d like to have that type of material available. I’m mainly talking about a more bi-curious/sexual POV, in which men are still part of the picture, but not written from a male’s sexual fantasy POV.

What I’ve found though, is that there is a distinct lack of good quality stories out there with this type of sexual content. And when available, it’s clustered in the general Gay/Lesbian section in ePub sites and one has to sift through countless m/m material to find that lone f/f, f/f/m book.

Moreover, I’ve come to realize through many romance reader blog discussions that f/f sex is consistently considered “icky” and deemed not to be of any interest to the general erotic romance reading population and therefore not a subject matter that authors or publishers want to put energy into.

For a while I thought I was a lone freak because I enjoyed reading f/f sex. Yet through those same reader blogs, and the fact that I’ve been willing to review such books on my Madame Butterfly blog, I found that there are other erotic romance readers who do like to read this kind of sexual content and we’ve been quietly grumbling and passing on info behind the scenes.

So I wanted to start this blog as an open and central place for those of us who do enjoy quality, loving f/f, f/f/m sexual content in books to have a forum to discuss, share and pass on information.

Kirsten Saell, who writes books with loving f/f, f/f/m content, and I, have gotten together to get this blog up and going and hope that all will feel welcome.

My idea is to have a fairly open blog in which anyone who feels to, can post information, reviews, and promote books supporting bi-sexual female/female love and sex in erotic books.

Holy crap that's a sexy picture. I think it's awesome you two started this blog!

People need to start appreciating f/f and f/f/m romances.

Tonni and Ajodonavon-- nice to meet you both.

Kirsten's been doing a lot of playing and I see that all of her playmates are popping in. :D

I hope you both feel comfortable and have fun here.

And yes, it would be nice if f/f, f/f/m were more appreciated.

Congrats on the new blog! As a tried and true lesbian, I also like to read f/f, f/f/m as well..does that make me sorta straight? :)

Love the pictures..especially of the two women kissing. I love the idea of this blog since it gives all women a chance to explore their sexuality freely.

I love the introduction post! Congratulations on the new blog.

I see a lot of praise for M/M romance but hardly any for f/f. nice to see it getting some recognition :)

Great to see F/F erotic fiction getting some more attention!

I'll happily send you a couple of ebooks for potential review. One with strictly F/F content, another with mixed content. :)

Thanks, Alessia! We'd be happy to review your books. It's nice not to have to hunt for that elusive f/f and f/f/m content! If you can point us to some books you think we might enjoy, or would like to guest blog, just let us know.
